Plant 30-80 cm tall with erect, branched, angular stems, leafy along the entire length. Leaves linear-lanceolate, purple-green. The flowers are flat, purple, blue, pink or white, collected in an umbrella-shaped inflorescence. Blooms from June to September.
Location: Prefers slightly shaded places protected from the wind.
Soil: Requires areas with moist, rich, humus soil.
Reproduction: by seeds and division of the bush in spring or autumn. Seeds are sown in April in open ground or in March in greenhouses. Seedlings bloom in the third year. In favorable conditions, self-seeding occurs. With a small division, the bushes get sick and take root poorly. Can be propagated by root and stem cuttings. Transplantation does not require many years.
Usage: retain decorative effect for a long time. Looks good on waterways.
